- My day started out EARLY… a follow-up to a very long night. My 2 year-old granddaughter, Coco, has the stomach flu. She calls getting sick “hiccups,” and the poor baby hiccuped basically all night long (among other things she hasn’t named). I simply cannot imagine how caregivers of children with longterm illnesses get through each day. Watching a child suffer is the worst thing ever. It’s heartbreaking. Doctor visit early this morning and she’s feeling better and resting comfortably this evening. Me? I. Need. Sleep.
- I took my Apple Christmas gift cards and ordered an iPad mini (although I don’t use my current iPad that often, it’s been awhile since I’ve had a new gadget), a case for the new iPad mini, and a lightning to USB adapter. The iPad was to deliver on 3/6 and the case and cable on 3/11. I can’t tell you how excited I was to see FedEx pull in the drive today. I can’t tell you how let down I was when I opened the box to find the case and cable… still no iPad.
- Moving day for Ben and Coco to a house all their own was originally slated 3/3/13… changed to yesterday… and changed once more to today. The big move? Didn’t happen. Too many challenges to make it work, and even though we all have a warm place to sleep, it’s like the roller-coaster ride you’re ready to get off of. Tomorrow? I hope so — but that brings me to reason #4 why I consider today awful… the source of the photo I shared…
- SNOW! (7 blowing inches on the way and the big flakes were already making a light blanket long before dark)
