Here we go, FB Friday (where I share the craziest thing I read on FB for the week), and this one still has my stomach in my throat.
Maybe a year ago I got a friend request from someone I didn’t know — said person was already friends with 97 of the same people I am so I accepted. Since that time there’s been zero interaction between us other than I think I probably wished her a happy birthday. Looking at her photos, I’m not sure I’ve ever met her.
My daily routine is pretty simple. Wake-up, get coffee, check email and do needed work stuff — then a quick scan of FB posts. At the end of the workday, I check FB again and usually once more before bed. I share this because if you want me to help save you and you think you’ll get a quick response via FB, you’re making a huge mistake. I hope if the following is real, this person has more involved FB friends than me.
I’ve blocked the name and photo of the person (in RED) and used different colored blocks for others that commented — and I even blocked a phone number too:
Maybe I’m being dramatic, but it appears to me that my (unknown) friend is saying goodbye via FB. Then, it reads as if someone found her injured, doesn’t know who she is, picks up her phone already open to FB, and posts for help. It also appears as if one of her real friends, (Mr. Purple) didn’t think of that because he wants to kill whoever posted from her phone.
If these status posts weren’t already 2 and 3 hours old by the time I read them, I would’ve called the police. Not sure what I would’ve told them, but I would’ve called anyway.
