here we go again…

Mar 2, 2014

As if the youth of Jackson and surrounding counties can afford to stay home from school even more days, we’re at the beginning of yet another 2014 wintery mix. So far here in Seymour we’ve had rain, freezing rain and a sleet. From what I understand, this wintery blast is to last through tomorrow morning dumping several inches of snow on top of the ice we already have before clearing out. Almost half of MPG is waiting out this weather in Cancun and the pesky neighbors are enjoying sunshine in Florida. Me? I’m feeling a little sorry for myself this morning.

here we go again

And here we go again with something besides more snow, but equally as frustrating… You might’ve noticed that whatifitdid.com has been slow to load at different intervals over the past couple weeks. I’ve noticed it; I’ve noticed emails are sporadically received; and I’ve gotten several support ticket notifications from the company that manages the server we own. The latest reads, “A massive targeted attack against a customer caused saturation of multiple egress paths within an upstream core network. Our upstream provider has confirmed that they have mitigated the attack and that traffic has returned to normal levels and all services have restored.

I’m hoping that we aren’t the attacked customer, and I’m hoping that this up/down thing is figured out soon. Just like the snow… it’s getting old.
