I posted one of the photos from Mother’s Day on Facebook that included Scott and me. By nightfall, I had received THREE messages referencing our hair color and how it’s exactly the same hue. Heh. Funny thing is… under the color that’s visible, it’s likely we do have the exact same hair color. Gray. =)
What really sucks is while I spend good money on dye to keep that inherited, dark “McKain” hair — Mom does ZERO insofar as color, and what gray she does have looks like blonde highlights. (I can’t speak for my brother. ::cough:: Only his hairdresser knows for sure.)
For the record, I didn’t get the eyes either. Nope! I got the dominant gene, big, brown cow eyes (that I passed to my son and he’s now passed to his daughter). So Scott inherited the dark hair… BUT he did get the blue/green/hazel eyes. Probably because Mom likes him better.
