So I would’ve bonked him if I would’ve been with him in 1974. And probably called him a dork. Or maybe something worse. I would’ve most definitely called Mom and tried to get him in trouble for embarrassing me. Because in 1974, I was an extremely young and very impressionable child (almost a baby!), and the whole sign thing would’ve gotten him grounded at least for a month. Maybe more.
Seriously… I am extremely proud that Scott McKain, from lil’ Crothersville, Indiana, is quoted in such a well-known publication (it’s the USA Today y’all!), in an article on foreign etiquette for Americans. How cool is that?
