I wrote yesterday about being in this photo slump thang — you know… it’s like when you’ve lost the passion or just can’t find any inspiration. I think I figured out what was wrong with me! I love COLOR!

Sure, I’m good when there’s snow to photograph — but when every day is gray and blah, after a while my thoughts get gray and blah too. Oh, the things a few fabulous, sunny days can do! Coco loves playing “mueshick” on the wind chimes — and I love to capture that sweet, soft face glowing with light supplied by sunshine. She plays “mueshick” with so much excitement, you would think mastering wind chimes is the pinnacle of existence.
And I even caught that exact moment when she caught sight of a “burfly!”
I could go on and talk about lighting insofar as outside shots, but I’m simply too giddy. I figured out that taking photos is fun again — and the only thought I’ll leave you with (since it’s cloudy in the Ville again today!), is how much I love, LOVE shooting with my 85mm f/1.8 lens. Maximum aperture makes me almost as happy as warm, sunny days! If you can buy one lens (go on… spend that tax check, you guys) it would be in my top two favorites.
