how do you feel about Indiana weather?

raspberries for Mother Nature

If you live in Indiana, you know the drill… warm one day and cold the next. Right? Tornados. Flooding. Take this weekend in the Ville for example — today, it’s 62 degrees and sunny. Tomorrow, snow showers are in the forecast.

If you don’t live here already, why on earth would you relocate here? The only reason I can think of is because the Red Cross now has a new app for your iPhone or Android device. It’s the Tornado Warning App, and I suggest you download it if you live or visit anyplace where tornados might hit. The app doesn’t just warn you when a tornado watch or warning is issued for your area — it also has a toolbox with a flashlight, strobe light and more! Better still, it helps you prepare an emergency plan.

While this app doesn’t cause me to feel any happier about Indiana’s climate, it does make me feel a little better prepared. And it reminds me I should probably dig a storm shelter. Or move.
