i love coco and mini powdered donuts

Sep 18, 2013

Nothing makes you forget the trials of a long day like a cup of coffee and mini powdered donuts. And a visit from the cutest little 3 year-old ever.

what is she thinking?

When I pulled this photo from the camera I smiled when I saw Coco’s face. I wonder what she was thinking. No doubt it was a new way to torment one of 3 humans or the hounds. Her mischievous deeds are most always followed by her laughing at (with) herself along with some muttering similar to, “Coco did that.” She gets it honest (as they say). I remember when my one and only, Ben, would put thumbtacks in his great-grandmother’s chair and encourage her to sit on them. Nanny was a good sport — she knew they were there but would play along with an over-exagerated spring/jump up while loudly proclaiming the expected, “OUCH!”

But Ben inherited that impish behavior too, even though I hate to admit it. I was the kid who set off firecrackers under my sleeping grandfather’s bed — and more recently told my Mom that Perry didn’t like the way she cooked beans when we were invited for lunch. The only difference? I just need to remember laugh manically and say, “Shelley did that.”
