Yesterday was National Sibling Day. Today is National Pet Day. What does it say about me that I post a puppy photo today, and posted nothing about my favorite brother yesterday? Ooops!
Happy National Pet Day to Dharma and Gracie! But only Dharma got to celebrate… with a trip to the vet. This girl weighed in today at 101 pounds!
5 to 20 percent of all spayed dogs have estrogen related issues, and good ole’ Dharma the Diva is in that percentile. Not so bad — other than the additional expense — as she’s really easy to take to the vet and is pretty good once inside. (Back in the day, taking Libby was horrific — she wanted to eat everyone and everything. They always had a room ready for her, and quickly shuffled her behind closed doors because she ‘scared the other patients.’)
Having pets may not be for you, but mine add so much value to my life. Sure it’s work, but the rewards are worth every second.
