responsive design facelift

Sep 10, 2012

If you’re visiting whatifitdid.com via a browser and not an RSS feed or email, you’ve probably already noticed things look a bit different around here. I do my best to change-up the looks regularly, but fell behind when I simply got too busy with real work. And now, rather than utilizing a plug-in for mobile users (which is like redesigning 2 sites every time), I opted for a responsive design instead. A few challenges conquered — and a few more to address (for mobile visitors, the page title tries to center and you can’t see it properly – and I’ll probably get spammed to death since my captcha code isn’t working right either), but it’s close enough for rock & roll.

Before the footer at the end of the page, I added 2 random areas — one that pulls a random post from the photography category, and another that pulls a random post from the business thoughts category. As I was testing, I noticed that random really means RANDOM! I read stuff I forgot I even posted… sort of fun. I hope you guys like it too. =)

A few days ago I posted about my son, Ben, and his friend, Jeremiah — explaining that I’d forgotten to grab a photo of them together.

Guess what?!?!

I should’ve made them switch places for the replication I guess. =)
