my dream interpreter says I’ve lost my ever lovin’ mind

my dream interpreter says I’ve lost my ever lovin’ mind

I’ve had a similar dream twice in the past week. In both dreams I’m euthanized. Yes, seriously. I’ve not been scared either time, but what happens after they inject me is total CRAZY

In the first dream, I was alone and they let me walk around. Wouldn’t you think they’d at least have you sit down if you were about to keel over dead? Not me! I walked to the nurse’s station and asked to use their phone to let everyone know I was leaving this earth. I talked to my son last, told him I was feeling sleepy… then I woke up.

The second time I was euthanized (oh my goodness!), I was with someone (I don’t remember who it was) and it was decided we should both die. After my shot in this dream, I was suddenly in a hospital bed with my family gathered around me. Now exactly WHY would my family come to the place I was being euthanized? It was like a party… talking about memories and laughing. And the entire time, I couldn’t understand why they didn’t get the heck out of the place before they were also given the shot.

I Googled the interpretation and believe everything I read on the Internet (because I’m bat shit crazy, obviously). I looked at several ‘dream’ sites and all had the same basic analysis:

To dream of euthanasia represents respectful, dignified, or peaceful end to a situation. Ending or changing something on your own terms. Choosing to let go.

Although it’s a pretty positive interpretation considering, I would rather not dream in repeat. We’re living Groundhog Day the way it is with COVID… I’d like for my sleep time to be something different. 🙂

Sage Steele, ESPN’s nightly anchor of SportsCenter, is to be a guest speaker at the upcoming Distinction Summit — a virtual event we’re working to launch in October. To market her attendance, I searched for information starting with her social media accounts. First, I found this video and hope you take a minute (ok, 8 minutes) to watch it:

I then found an article about why Sage feels she wasn’t included in the sport channel’s “Time for Change: We Won’t Be Defeated” special that appeared in the aftermath of the death of George Floyd and the nationwide protests (in June 2020). She says she was excluded from the race special for not being black enough.

We’re talking ESPN — sports, right! Doesn’t it seem odd that she wasn’t included when her father was the first black football player at West Point?

The cynical side of me chocks this up to the media (yes, even ESPN) cranking out perceptions that follow an agenda. Another side of me realizes we live in an unpredictable world and the media (yes, even ESPN) is out to make a buck.

No matter… I’m just excited that she’s going to share her experiences and thoughts on standing out to earn more with those who register to attend the Distinction Summit. 🙂

my son is my hero — but just for today

my son is my hero — but just for today

Today was a pretty crappy day, you guys. Options to complete a last-minute deadline were slim. The optimal solution required more time than we have to work within — and the working solution isn’t as smooth as I would like. So basically, I stressed and spent hours and hours sitting in my computer chair.

But then my phone rang and it was my favorite son. Would I like something from Starbucks? Why yes! Yes, I would! Gimme that quad latte and a new attitude.

Daily new COVID-19 cases (7 day moving average):
Indiana-7.7 (same); Jackson Co – 2.7 (down); Florida 46.4 (up); Nevada – 24.4 (same — but note… my brother/sister-in-law waited over a week for their test results – both are positive for COVID-19)

TIL (today I learned): Princess Elizabeth (now Queen) was the first female member of the Royal Family to join the Armed Services as a full-time active member. She was a mechanic! Read more here…

i had a dream that proved i’ve lost my mind

Last night, I had the craziest dream ever. It landed Perry in jail for murder… or some kind of vehicular homicide! ÂŻ\_(ツ)_/ÂŻ

In my dream, Carl and I watched as Perry was driving a school bus down US 31. All of a sudden, Perry totally flipped out! He jumped from the driver’s seat, ran to the back of the bus and started putting up windows. Yelling at him to get back in the seat before an accident, he refused and simply moved to the next window. There was a crash. Perry needed an ambulance (not from the wreck but because he went crazy and turned blue) and off he went on a stretcher.

Mom appeared and told me I needed to call Ben because “word was getting out” as we were walking to the back of an unknown house. On the back step, a crying Mexican told me the guy in the blue car would survive, but there was one fatality — a really nice guy.

And then I awoke… it was 4:30 AM. Still groggy, I questioned why either Carl or I didn’t just get in the driver’s seat and wondered if the police would soon be around to question us. Even crazier… I KNOW there’s no way on God’s green earth either one of us would ride with Perry driving a school bus in the first place.

Where in the recesses of my brain did all that come from??? How did I make that shit up? Everybody knows — even ME — that the only thing Perry kills is vampires. 🙂

Perry only kills vampires.
what kind of mind game you playing WW?

what kind of mind game you playing WW?

One of the things that Weight Watchers proclaims is that it helps people eat healthy without requiring as much “thought” because you don’t have to track portions or calories. You do eat healthier unless you want to starve (eat the chicken alfredo but then you get nothing else) — but the thought thing?

I see EVERY FOOD ITEM as how many points it’s gonna cost me — coffee and espresso are ZERO!

As proclaimed, it does change your lifestyle. For example, I now automatically detest anyone that gets more points than I do. ( It’s totally unfair that I get only 23 points a day when my favorite brother gets 36.) And, you can ask me at any time during the day how many points I have left and I can tell you the EXACT number.

If you’re looking to lose weight — or to maintain healthy eating habits — WW is a good option. If only their app offered something to promote healthy sleeping habits…
