what to do when you’re waiting on hold

Mar 7, 2013

When you’re waiting on hold you can’t really start a project or do much of anything of importance because you never know when you’ll be interrupted. And if you try to do two things at once, chances are one of them will inevitably be wrong.

Here are a few things you can do…

  1. Pet your dog.
  2. Light a candle.
  3. Arrange things on your desk.
  4. Take a drink of your already cold coffee.
  5. Surf the Internet for useless information — like where your state rates on a happiness scale. Indiana? Number 42 (ack!). But the two states I consider as options to relocate? Nevada came in at 39, and Florida wasn’t much better at 34. Good thing I wasn’t on hold much longer… I was almost considering Hawaii!
  6. And, compare the size of your new iPad mini to your older iPad…

oh wow - size DOES matter!

This little dude will fit in my purse! For you males… you can slip it right into the European shoulder bag that was a gift from your significant other. (For those of you playing along at home… what was that commercial anyway?)
