Nobody is happy

Perry talked me into coloring my hair a different color. ::gasp:: Ok, so I hate it — but at least I have hair. Right?

This clip has been around the block a few times, but I still think it’s awesome. Everything is amazing — and nobody is happy…

Ridiculous statements

Posted by Perry

I’m still livid after reading some of the comments made by Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal Tuesday night — you can read some of it here.

The Governor was delivering the GOP response to President Obama’s address when he stated that a $140 million appropriation for the U.S. Geological Survey was an example of questionable government spending.

My question is this — are you kidding me? Does the Governor really think that money needed to monitor volcanoes – especially some active ones such as Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Redoubt – is wasted spending? Those who lived through the eruption of St. Helens in 1980 would disagree with him, as would those who are living near Mt. Redoubt right now – you know – the people who are waiting for the mountain to erupt at any time.

The really infuriating part of Jindal’s statement is this is coming from a man who’s state endured one of the costliest disasters ever with hurricane Katrina.

It is very apparent that his response to the President was purely for party points – but you have to ask yourself, does anyone in the Republican party ‘get it’ anymore, or are they really that out of touch to think that money for the monitoring and warning of a potential natural disaster is something we shouldn’t be doing.

You gotta love party politics…

I still love youtube

Have you noticed that now every single time you watch a youtube video — either on youtube.com or if it’s on a site such as the video below — you get a flipping Google ad at the bottom? Sure you can close out this annoying blurb, but SHEESH! I guess Google’s got to make an extra buck someplace.

give it a whirl

Even if you’re a PC user (I’m so sorry), you too can get a taste of what mac users get with most every program — and it’s a FREE download. The BETA version of the new Safari, an Internet browser, is available for download for both the mac and PC operating systems. Again, you can get it from the Apple site for FREE.

With innovative new features like ‘Top Sites’, where you store your favorite pages by what they look like (not just some URL), and a search feature that allows you to scroll through the cached versions of visited pages (sort of like iTunes) by what they look like, making it easy to re-find what you’re looking for — there’s no reason why you too shouldn’t give it a whirl.

It’s PhotoShop Baby

If you’re a fan of Facebook (you can visit me there), you’ve seen the ads whose sole purpose is to sell you a product that all the stars use to make them look younger than they actually are. And you can try it for free! I keep clicking the links, but none of them are correct.

In actuality — it’s PhotoShop baby!
