when i’m pretty ok with home

May 17, 2013

Often times when the snow flies I long to live in a warmer climate. My little house certainly isn’t anything fabulous, but I like it — and sometimes find myself wishing that it could be sent by wind to another location… sort of like in The Wizard of Oz. Without a witch.

But days like today, I’m just thankful that I’m right here.

Sometimes, I even like it here!

And in closing, I am pretty sure this quote straight from the Land of Oz is referencing distinction. I simply can’t escape work, you guys.

That proves you are unusual,’ returned the Scarecrow; ‘and I am convinced that the only people worthy of consideration in this world are the unusual ones. For the common folks are like the leaves of a tree, and live and die unnoticed.”
― L. Frank Baum, The Land Of Oz
