Skyline on Skyline Drive

Today Libby decided a Sunday drive was in order. So excited to be going for a ride in the car, she ran, grunted and squealed her way to the back seat. Libby is big (she prefers to be called voluptuous as opposed to fat), and it’s not always easy to include her in outings. She doesn’t go enough so she doesn’t behave well — and she doesn’t behave well because she doesn’t go enough.

We first hit the forestry in Brownstown, checked out the playground and even walked a short trail. It was still on the warm side and the air was close when we drove to Skyline Drive. Ok, so the overlook is probably the most photographed spot in Jackson County, and if you live in this area you’ve most likely taken these same shots yourself. I couldn’t help myself — it is beautiful. I promised Libby we’d hit this same spot again in the fall once the leaves have turned.

Libby had a great Sunday afternoon. She’s snoring as I post this — totally worn out from all the excitement…
