do you ever think about…

It’s truly an amazing world we live in, and most of the time, we don’t even think about it. It seems as if everyone now has a computer (or 10) with an Internet connection available 24/7. We are no longer just connected to the Internet at home, but many are like me — receiving emails on a cell phone that that I can also use to browse the Internet, get locations through Google maps or GPS, post messages and photos to my Twitter and FaceBook accounts, and even post to my BLOG if I want to. I’m mega connected, and you probably are too.

Factor in how easy it is now to connect with family and friends through social media, and once you connect with someone you haven’t seen in forever, you’re instantly pulled into the ‘way back’ machine. I’ve been exchanging emails with an old friend that I haven’t seen since high school and it’s got me thinking about ME.

Everyone changes — not just in appearance, but as we grow older, we also all grow to be different people than we were in high school. Don’t we? Do you ever think about how you’re different now than you were back then?

This post reminded me of an older post that deserves a look. The video still makes me laugh:

Back to basics

The pesky neighbors are camping this week with others from the burg. I took the short drive to check out their digs and must admit that I had a very good time. Now let’s get this straight — I am NOT a camper (not that staying in a motor-home with electricity is exactly roughing it or anything), but instead, I enjoy a plush hotel with a pool for relaxation. I figure by the time you calculate the expense of said motor-home divided by the number of times it’s actually used, I’m the thrifty one. Even if you figure in the price of eating out every meal!

The upside is that when others camp, they can have visitors — enter me stage right…

Let's go camping!

The food was AWESOME, the company grand, and the music was swell.
