swapping photos

Aug 1, 2009

I’ve told you that I’m obsessed with my iPhone. It’s simply the best. And, there are so many cool apps available, I have trouble knowing which one I’m going to waste time with first.

I have weather set for 3 locations; I access FaceBook through their cool app; I have the WordPress app so I can make posts here (like now); Evernote is the most awesome to-do program on the planet that you can sync easily; Lucky 7 Slots is fun when you have a few moments of nothing to do; and iDisk app provides access to items stored on your dot mac account. I could go on and on, but instead I’m going to tell all my iPhone buddies about an app called PhotoSwap.

The concept is simple. You snap a photo, click ‘use’ — and your picture is sent to some random person. When your photo hits cyberspace, you get a random photo in return. How cool is that?

The problem is — I send like a photo of a glass of wine or my dog, and I get penis photos in return. Routinely. No matter what time of day or night I do it. What’s up with that?? I watch as Ben, Amber and Perry photoswap and get pictures of plants, pets, playing cards — all kinds of harmless cool shots. Me? I get photos of penises. I don’t reply to these body parts (you have the ability to reply to a photo with another photo), so I’ve never seen the same penis twice, which is cool with me.

Check out the PhotoSwap app if you dare (and if you own the coolest phone ever). Good luck. I just nuked it.
