a better me

The single greatest asset everyone has is the ability to be the best THEM of anyone in the world.

I’ll never be a better anyone else than they are, and nobody could ever be a better me!

Some of the best THEMS on the planet…

me and them

in the gutter

The sky was simply beautiful in the burg last night. I’m not sure it gets any better than this no matter where you are in the world…

In the gutter

accomplishment

The bathroom is done! Dudes, we are getting close to being totally done (other photos coming soon) — and I’m getting close to having a normal existence again. I’m feelin’ gooooood!

we got one too!

It seems like we started the remodel project at least 10 years ago, and there have been times I felt like I would never, ever get to this point.

Most of us will never know what it’s like to spend a couple million bucks on a boat, or only have a couple bucks to spend on food for the day — but I’m willing to bet that we all know how good it feels to near the end of something we’ve worked hard to complete. It’s called accomplishment …and no matter how big or how small your accomplishment was, it was important or you wouldn’t have done it in the first place. Here’s to all of our accomplishments! We rock!

everything apple

I’m having an Apple moment; and I have them frequently. Last week, Apple sent me an email about the cool new iPod Nano. Guess what?

I'm an apple girl!

What’s awesome about the new Nano is that you can shoot video from this little bitty thing that fits in your pocket! Check out the talking goober and the fat dog below:

Today, Apple sends another email. A new 27″ iMac that I gotta have. I’m a MAC girl!!

how much is luck

How much is luck to blame (or credit) for your failures (or successes)?

it's a lucky truck!

If not for the good-luck horseshoe on the back of the truck above, I wonder what its condition would be. And think about this…If Gates had lived somewhere else growing up, missing out on the early access to computer programming experience, he may not have had the idea to start Microsoft. He was in the right place at the right time.

But it isn’t ALL chance. You can’t just sit back and wait for luck to take its course! You have to get yourself out there. Right? The only thing separating somebodies and nobodies is that somebodies have seized an opportunity with an awesome outcome. Your next big opportunity could present itself at any time (luck) — but you’ve got to be ready for it (preparation, talent and ability).

So how much is luck to blame (or credit) for your failures (or successes)? Would you say 50/50? You think you have no luck at all?
