I have 3 things to share. Call me sociable today. Be nice for a change.
The reason I have time to provide today’s finds are explained in the photo above. The main reason I posted it though is because the walls in this room were painted with a technique you may or may not have heard of. There is NO filter on this photo — those really are the walls. I personally think they’re pretty cool, especially when the room was painted using Wal-mart bags.
I’m no fan of Wal-mart, (I’d rather take a stick in the eye than shop there), but those cheap plastic bags are like the best for painting. I rolled on the first coat of taupe, then wadded up Wal-mart bags (one in each hand), dipped them in paint just a tad darker and slap-jabbed the walls all over the place in no random pattern or fashion. I stood back to admire my progress and was feeling oh-so brave, so I started dipping my Wal-mart bags into some gold-flecked paint I used for something a loooong time ago and splatted some of that around too. The gold was a tad bold, but I remembered I had paint left that was used in the bathroom, and so I smooshed that on too. The final highlights I did for the top coat was left-over white ceiling paint. Try it kids — fun stuff.
Next, The Crothersville Times had a cool article this week, “A Dozen Questions You May Have Never Considered“. Heck, I don’t think I answered 1/2 of them right. Give it a try!
I shared this on Facebook today, but wanted to put the link here too. It’s pretty important you read Mashable’s 5 Essential Facebook Privacy Tips. Don’t just read them — actually do them. I share this because you’re my friends (with a few exceptions of course — you know who you are *people’s eyebrow*).
