I used to love visiting the blog, Statement Analysis. From transcripts of spoken words, an analysis is provided along with opinions insofar as if the person was truthful or lying when they gave their statement. I did say “USED TO” love visiting — I don’t anymore. Much.
The more I pay attention to the reasons used to determine a person is lying, the more I pay attention to how I sometimes word things. According to that site, I’m lying like half of the time. Mostly to myself. But I’m really telling the truth! I get it that you shouldn’t say things like, “Can I be honest with you?” Ummmm…no. Lie to me, please. I get it.
Here’s what I don’t get — when someone drops pronouns, it’s an indication of guilt. I do it all the time! Don’t you? For example…
Why? Because if you mention personal hygiene when telling a story it’s because you’re abused and your hygiene is the only thing in your life you have control over…AND, you didn’t use a pronoun when speaking of going to the store so you either didn’t go to the store at all, or you went to the store at the wrong time or with the wrong person. You say that line, and immediately you’re an abused liar. Just like that.
Perry is lying. He framed “like” with “really” and that indicates sensitivity. It means he is probably lying. But he’s most likely not being abused. Apparently.
