This is quite possibly one of the oldest photos available of a Crothersville Basketball Club. It was taken in 1912.
More than 9 inches of rain fell in Crothersville damaging roads and buildings forcing some residents to be evacuated from their homes. The school’s boiler room had more than 3 feet of water standing after this large rainfall, which was pumped out by the Crothersville – Vernon Township firefighters. The Fire Department is shown above blocking Main Street in Crothersville.
