a cool camera tool

Nov 3, 2011

It’s a rainy, fall day in the ville. I blame the fact that Mother Nature hates Indiana for my stopped-up head, and my lack of enthusiasm for task management today. Can you seriously imagine any bleaker image than what I see from my front door today?

So as promised, here’s the skinny about a cool product I purchased. It’s not something I would use to take any professional shots — it IS something I love for quickie indoor shots of dogs that won’t cooperate or candid shots inside when you simply don’t have appropriate lighting to get what you want. The concept is simple — the change to out-of-the-box photos is pretty amazing… the pop-up flash bounce. (Click the link to buy it on the Photojojo store — it’s only $30 bucks!)

I’ve talked before about how a harsh flash can simply ruin a great shot — and, because I’m not going to take my camera bag of stuff into a darkened restaurant where I might want to snap a couple photos of a highly mobile and extremely beautiful baby, I find this to be an acceptable option for cheap. I hope it helps you too!
