I read an article today on Mashable about two-time gold medalist swimmer, Rebecca Adlington, and social media trolls. Basically, she’s taking a Twitter timeout during this summer’s Olympics in London because of online hate — mean comments made by trolls that add stress when she obviously doesn’t need it.
It’s sad there are people who put a ton of effort into judging others and doing whatever they can to cause hurt. And while I love our world of connectivity, I hate how it gives trolls a platform to facilitate evil.
