When I see something online that I think will interest my son, Ben, I send him a link via email. As a kid, he LOVED Mister Rogers and would sing that ‘it’s a beautiful day in this neighborhood‘ song non-stop until I thought I’d lose my mind (or maybe I did). So when I saw this crazy video clip remix featuring his past hero on YouTube that had topped 3 million views, I should’ve KNOWN that he had already watched it. He let me know that if you see something on CNN, it’s already old news. Got it.
So because Ben thinks he’s so much more informed than his Mom, I thought I would share something I’m guessing he’s forgotten. I would imagine the photo below was taken by my buddy, Alisa, (which sure is a testament to a lasting friendship), and it proves that even really smart dudes were kids once — and some wore clothes way back when that screams small-town because their mother still dressed them. Yo… I saw this YEARS ago.
