We picked up a couple pumpkins for Colette and she could care less. I have no clue what age kids are when they get interested in those types of things. I just hope that once those pumpkins are carved she NOTICES them.
Speaking of noticing… check out the photo over there on your left. The second I saw that photo of Coco I thought she looked exactly like her Dad. I know I’m just a crazy g’ma and it’s quite possible I’m dreaming up the uncanny resemblance.
But I can promise you she looks NOTHING like I did at that age. I’m pretty sure I looked like a fat Asian. Darker skin, eyes and hair with cheeks so fat they made my eyes all squinty. It probably didn’t help that I was attached to a thin blonde woman. As a kid, my brother always told me I was adopted. Actually, he told me the police brought me. Back then I believed him… and if I didn’t share some similar features with my cousin, Jerilyn, I might even have doubts today.
