I worked in the yard most of the day yesterday. This morning, I can see my cheeks they are so puffy and I have a toothache in a tooth that’s had a root canal. Is it the rain or humidity? Did the endodontist not do his job properly? I have no clue… but I do know that I spoke with my favorite brother (who probably has never worked in the yard a full day in his life) this morning and he was complaining of sinus type issues too.
The humidity yesterday was over 86% for most of the day and my puffy cheeks indicate what I have is most likely sinus related. Spending a good part of my time outside bent over pulling weeds, planting flowers, and chasing a 5 year-old on a Ziggle probably didn’t help. My brother came from dry Las Vegas to Indiana in April (April showers bring May flowers, you know) which I’m sure is a major contributor to his condition. Whatever the cause, it’s not a great way to start a Monday. BLAH!
Anyone else out there struggle with these same symptoms in the spring?
I guess the end result was worth it. Mine was the last house in the neighborhood to get a “spring/summer” yard refreshening complete with flowers. Since the homes on both sides of me have been listed for sale just since I moved here, I’m getting a complex. I always liked having pretty flowers, but it’s not nearly as much fun now that I feel like it’s a requirement. Trimming the hedges is on my agenda, neighbors! Don’t lose hope yet.
And if puffy cheeks and a throbbing tooth isn’t bad enough, I have other Monday work-day issues. This working from home gig isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. I have a valid excuse for all my typos. What’s yours?
