It’s official — our government has shut down. Of course, taxes will still be pulled from our earnings which hardly seems appropriate. I feel for those who are uncertain of their pay during this time — especially military families. Try as I might, I don’t feel sorry for IRS employees.
I’m contemplating a kitchen shutdown. Maybe tomorrow…
But today, Red Gold chili, grape jelly and meatballs simmered in the crockpot. Pretty tasty alongside scalloped potatoes for dinner. Combine food with the heat wave we’re experiencing (it’s after dark and 42 degrees F, you guys!) and it’s been an above average Saturday around here.
Belly up! Kitchen may close tomorrow.
