Lots of people on Facebook have been clicking a link (that ultimately allows an app access to their stuff and changes their browser so it opens a clickbait landing page) so their profile photo is manipulated to make them look like a celebrity. Then they share it and accept compliments. It’s magic!
So rather than click the link OR share the results on Facebook, I just grabbed the app. And, rather than use the “celebrity” filter, I decided to instead try the “young” filter and the “old” filter.
I don’t recall the puffy lips or crooked nose from my youth, and I’m pretty sure I never had a dimple. On the other hand, I’m not sure the “old” me even HAS a filter (other than all the color disappeared from my lips and there are a few more ruffles around my mouth).
Fun stuff! Try FaceApp — but don’t fall for the Facebook click-bait.
