They say you’re supposed to embrace each birthday as a gift. While I’m happy to be alive and I am grateful, I would prefer to just move right along instead of putting that growing number above my head. Except the getting gifts part. I like that. 🙂
My favorite son arrived with a Starbucks drink and a house item I’d been looking at but hadn’t yet pulled the trigger to purchase. This gorgeous rug that I wasn’t sure would match is now in my living room and it matches just fine. I do need new pillows for the sofa now but I can get those with one of the gift cards I received. Win!
And… the dogs got their monthly BarkBox shipment so they had a gift on my birthday too! Just like when I was a kid and Scott also got a present on March 17th (and I got one on November 4th for his special day). Crazy Siri had a really hard time getting the concept as I was trying my hardest to tell Perry about their good fortune.
Dinner at the restaurant of my choice — that really wasn’t my 1st choice. Red Lobster is Colette’s 1st choice and although it was my birthday, it’s still ALL about her. That’s why there’s this awful photo of us winking.
Must love photos of the inside of a person’s nose holes with so much light in the background it looks like chunks of hair are totally missing. Did I mention Colette sang, “It’s my party and I’ll cry if I want to“ the entire day? (No green St. Paddy’s Day beer included.)
