Today’s 92 degrees beat the earlier record of 90 degrees set in 1962. Snow in mid-April and sweltering temps mid-May. Obviously, I still live in Indiana. It’s over 80 degrees here right now and the sun isn’t up — about 8 degrees warmer than my weather app claims it is for the pesky non-neighbors in Florida.
I’m not complaining — I LOVE it. So do the flowers…
Few clouds in the sky on a HOT day when there’s SO MUCH work to do at the beginning of spring is a little miserable. As I was raking dead leaves out from under the hedges, my neighbor walked over and said, “So THAT’S where all my leaves were hiding.” I smiled on the outside, but thought about flogging him with the rake.
Dharma took only a couple laps around the backyard (while Gracie watched) and she’d had enough. She could stand to exercise and lose a few pounds (like everyone else around here), but figures she’ll wait until the highs are in the 80’s.
