“Turn your heat up a degree or two a day before the arctic blast arrives. If you typically turn down the heat at night, don’t do that during the next couple days. Your furnace will struggle to keep up and will not be able to catch up.”
VS.
“…set your heat to 67 degrees or lower…”
Even with the conflicting suggestions about the best way to approach home heating, it’s plenty warm in here and I made a HUGE amount of homemade chicken noodles that will last all day (and likely all week).
My puppies are conflicted too — they are ready to come in directly after they complain they want to go out. Five minutes later, they think they want out again. Once outside, they remember how frigid it is and are peering in the door waiting on it to open.
I can’t remember a time the mail didn’t run (no mail delivery today) or that a bank opened with a delay. More snow predicted — not a whole lot, but enough to keep the roads slick — and if a picture really is worth 1,000 words, here’s the whole story:
CNN says this is the coldest air in a generation… among other notable facts…
Y’all know it’s cold if you can’t get beer delivered. 🙂
