If you’ve never lived in the midwest in the spring, or if you used to reside near here but you don’t any longer… it’s time to experience (or re-experience) a mild spring thunderstorm…
Hail about the size of a dime and a ton of rain, I watched my trashcan wash down the road to join the others belonging to my neighbors.
We kept electric and Internet this time around so I spent about 30 minutes watching the up-to-date weather on Facebook. It’s nice when you know the storm will be over in “X” minutes — but it sure makes you feel uneasy when you see what’s headed your way in live, second by second updates.
When the rain let up I opened the door to chase down the 2 trash cans (set out for pick-up on Friday morning) that had dumped garbage and floated off, I was thrilled to see that one of my good neighbors had already picked up the mess and put the can back by the edge of the road. How cool is that? 🙂
