About 30 minutes before we planned to leave to pick up the puppies on Monday, my vet called to let me know he wanted to speak with me. Bad news… a tumor was found on Dharma and the biopsy revealed it was cancer.
We opted to leave her for surgery rather than bring her home only to take her back two days later. It was heartbreaking to see them lead her back when she was so excited to go home.
Post-op has been horrible. She simply would NOT lie down. She stood and cried to the point she was prescribed a tranquilizer. Even that didn’t help. FINALLY, she got a couple hours sleep, and now we’re doing SO MUCH better.
Praying for good lab results… that the entire tumor was removed and further surgery isn’t required. We should know by Friday.
