are you truly staying home?

So, today we built an amazing sandcastle!

sandcastle built!

Ok, so we didn’t! Why? Because I’m still QwD (quarantined with dogs) and it’s day #26.

I’ve been hearing from friends in retail that feel many don’t understand the rules. They say parents are bringing their kids with them to shop for items that are far removed from essential purchases — items like flowers for crafts and Easter candy.

Just a couple comments:

Governor puts a stronger travel ban into play and the number of people that come into the store goes up? WTF People??? STAY HOME.

PLEASE people. I’m begging you to stay at home. If this continues for the said 30 days and the same number of people grace the doors of retail establishments… I’m looking at at LEAST 25,000 chances of getting this SHIT. That means YOU are looking at that same number. STAY HOME!

For me, this is day #26 of being quarantined with dogs. Not gonna’ lie – my mood changes frequently. I have days I’m content. Other days I’m really low. Some days I’m happy working from home, listening to a book, playing an online game, watching a movie and taking care of the hounds. Other days, I can’t get motivated to do anything!

The worst part for me is spending so much time by myself. Not that the dogs don’t count… but neither are known for great conversation. And, there’s something missing when your mama comes to pick up the groceries you ordered and this is the best you get…

COVID-19 Suggestion for the day…

Psychology Today says the #1 thing you can do to help prevent depression during this challenging time is to take a bath at least twice a week.

“Bathing can have effects on heart rate, metabolism, nerve stimulation, and cardiac output, which can boost immune function and provide a feeling of refreshment.”
