Seymour is almost like a ghost town!

Apr 7, 2020

The Governor placed more restrictions on Indiana yesterday insofar as COVID-19, but I’m not sure how much different it really is from before. Most non-essential businesses are already closed for walk-in business. What I don’t understand is how it will impact factories. I’d have to read more to figure that out, and I’m already coronavirused out for one day.

The photos of Seymour that I’m sharing below were not taken by me. I thought they were great when I saw them on Facebook. They were shared by one of my FB friends that shared from a friend’s friend and I have no clue who to credit. As I’m QwD (quarantined with dogs) on day #32, I haven’t seen downtown for a long time. Crazy that it’s so empty.

And our high school — a VERY short distance from my home is empty of students. No sounds of the marching band or any of the normal outdoor activities that are normal.

Perry rarely misses work and a headache and nausea kept him home last night (he’s currently working 3rd shift). Although not typical COVID-19 symptoms, it scared me badly enough to go on a cleaning and moving furniture rampage. I moved my desk and work station to the formal living room area and while doing so, I got the couch STUCK in the hallway.

I didn’t finish cleaning and getting that darned couch out of the way until around 2:30 AM this morning. I’m counting that process as my “one extra thing” completed today.
