Perry is on vacation. Because of COVID, travel is pretty much out of the question. I don’t even know of anyplace that would count as a fun ‘day trip.’ Considering the hit the events business has taken — and my income — a trip to the boat is scary even for me.

Options are further limited by the “girls.” Dharma is trustworthy for hours alone at home, but not the black she-devil.

That only leaves poor Perry with a staycation. Y’all know that means work, right? The garage is a mess and storm windows must be removed so the windows can be cleaned — just look at them!

Some heavy drinker wearing shades to conceal his identity dropped by but left before any work commenced. Of course, that leaves a certain vacationer to carry the full work load.

And, fall is here. While it should warm up later this week, I had the furnace on for the first time this morning. Just enough to take the chill out of the house — and enough to remind me that cooler days are ahead. Just after 11:00 PM right now it’s only a tad over 50°.
