I told you guys last week about Duke Energy forcing me to have a tree cut down. I whined about how they woke me on two days for the removal and one day for clean-up but still left a ton of debris. Well, they’re back. It’s not yet 8:00 AM.
I complained about the debris left to Duke and they sent a “ticket runner” to take photos, etc. (another 1/2 day wasted). Come to find out, the people that represented themselves to me as “Duke Energy” wasn’t Duke at all. Instead, they were a contractor for Duke Energy.
Not only are they required to TELL ME they are a contractor, they were supposed to cut down a tree at another property I own in Seymour. In addition, the “real Duke Energy” told me they can NOT force anyone to have a tree removed... only trimmed.
So basically, I’ve been woken up 4 times, bullied into having a tree removed that I wanted to keep, been lied to on multiple occasions, and spent time complaining and meeting with a ticket-runner.
Lesson I hope “fake Duke” learns from this is that if you’re going to lie about who you are and bully a customer, you shouldn’t verify it all in text messages.
Every single time “fake Duke” arrives my dogs want to eat them. I have to talk through a crack in the door or go outside. I’m betting they think I’m the crazy dog lady. Maybe I am. If that’s the case, this crazy dog lady has a Christmas tree up before Thanksgiving!
And I love my dogs. Even the mean one…
How severe the pandemic is in the places where people I care about are located…
Daily new COVID-19 cases (7 day moving average):
Indiana-87.6 (UP); Jackson Co – 76.9 (up); Florida 27.5 (up); Nevada – 47.8 (up)
We again have a shortage of toilet paper, paper towels, eggs, baby diapers and wipes, and many other items. The hospital where I live is now diverting patients to other hospitals because they are out of room. Bartholomew County (just to the north of me) health officials say the health care system is “almost at the breaking point.”
TIL (Today I Learned): Shaquille O’Neal holds the record for biggest total purchase in Walmart history. Shaq spent $70,000 in one stop at Walmart in 2008. Click to read more and see if he bought toilet paper…
