They say that spammers keep spamming because it’s profitable. Obviously, that means that there are those out there that make purchases from spam messages left on business websites — otherwise, spammers wouldn’t waste their time.
Take for example the message I received today from one of our websites created for corporate CX training:
Name: Doyle Goward; Phone: 79 114 53 20; Company: Doyle Goward
Subject: I’m an individual professional ready for CX training
Message: We offer Private Label for 100% Bamboo Toilet Paper, 20 Years Manufacturer in China, Eco Friendly, Tree Free, Plastic Free, Premium Quality. Request a private label / OEM price here: OMITTED
So who… in the name of all things holy… is ordering bamboo toilet paper from China?? If it’s you, stop it already.
Common sense in today’s world is lacking — especially in the digital realm. But at least, the view out my window remains no matter what is happening online.
