A Facebook friend posted yesterday about COVID. I believe what she stated and agree with her opinions. Originally from Crothersville, Ro is an RN currently working in Florida. Here’s her post:
While I’d like to share it, I didn’t. I figure those that are going to get the vaccine have already — and those that think COVID is political or whatever aren’t going to be influenced by a post I would share.
Not gonna’ lie — reading this makes my stomach churn. It’s not that I don’t want people to get vaccinated, but the threat of another shutdown only causes meeting planners to hold off on scheduling an event. Of course, that means they aren’t looking to book a speaker for a meeting either. As calls of interest were just beginning to pick up, I had one cancel a conversation this past week as they’ve put their conference on “hold” until more is known about the Delta variant.
So let’s take a look at the COVID numbers and compare them to earlier percentages…
Florida tops the list as the worst risk at 79%. Nevada is #7 at 27.6% and is red risk level. Indiana is 29th and yellow at 9.6%. The Washington Post says that almost half of the country is fully vaccinated, but vaccination rates have plummeted from 3.3 million doses administered daily to around 540k now.
Hang on… it seems the ride is not yet over. 🙁
