The search for Brian Laundrie at the Carlton Reserve included 75 people from 16 agencies. Crews used swamp buggies, drones, helicopters, ATVs, and airboats to search the 25,000 acre area for over a month at the estimated cost of $4.5 million. Before we knew what happened next, I had every single base covered here at the midwestern headquarters.
Still, I was surprised today when Brian’s parents made a miraculous discovery when they walked in the reserve to search for their only son themselves. Within about 30-minutes — and a short distance from where Brian parked the car to enter the reserve — father, Chris Laundrie, walked straight over and picked up a dry bag containing items known to be those of his son.
A dry bag, you guys. And… he picked it up rather than pointing it out to law enforcement to retrieve. So that’s odd… right? The Laundrie attorney told press that “Chris couldn’t find law enforcement and didn’t want to leave the bag with a reporter nearby.” What is even more suspicious is that he appeared to walk off the trail and straight to the dry bag — even though he had to wade through a foot of water to a grove of trees. This whole case is getting curiouser and curiouser. The attorney also told reporters that the family informed investigators to look in this exact location back in mid-September. Again… FBI and a bajillion other agencies have been searching there for over a month spending a ton of tax dollars and Mommy and Daddy have it wrapped up in 30-minutes.
After the FBI presser, media and protesters were at the Laundrie home in full-force. I’m not saying this hasn’t been sketchy from the get-go… but the parents are grieving. No matter if they helped him, if they knew what happened or didn’t know anything, their son is likely dead. People were screaming at their house, “Brian is burning in Hell right now and you will be soon. You have blood on your hands. Brian is dead because of you!” People who do that — no matter what the circumstances are — are a disgrace to humanity.
Those people can claim it’s to get “justice for Gabby,” but I’m not buying it. If what people have said about Gabby is true — I don’t believe she would approve.
