First, Dharma is now in the habit of getting me up EVERY SINGLE MORNING the very second the sun is about to rise. I know she didn’t have to pee this morning because she went out right before I went to bed THREE HOURS AND FOURTEEN MINUTES AGO! Yes, I’m grumpy.
To get the weekend started, here are 3 tips and 1 thing to think about:
ONE:
Using mayonnaise instead of butter for grilled cheese is a win. The bread browns perfectly and the cheese has time to melt.
TWO:
Potato bags are a thing. Just put washed potatoes in the potato bag and after 4-minutes in the microwave you’ll have a perfect side. I ordered mine from Amazon. (I’m slow on this one — even my Mom knew what they were before me.)
THREE:
Be careful when you order groceries online from Walmart. You might just put a 3-pack of Velveeta Shells & Cheese in your cart for delivery and find they want to ship it to you instead. Right at $25 bucks to ship my $3.00 item? Ummm… no. 🙄
SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT:
One of the speakers I’ve booked for a client provided her event assets. Her walk-on-stage song is “Danger Zone” by Kenny Loggins. (It’s the ‘Top Gun‘ song.) That sparked the thought of my favorite brother’s walk-on song, Mellencamp’s “Small Town.” This led to a discussion with Perry about what we would choose as our walk-on song if we needed one.
Perry’s first choice was ‘Determined’ by Mudvayne… but there are too many F-bombs. He settled on ‘Higher Ground‘ by Red Hot Chili Peppers. I figure mine would be “Get the Party Started” by Pink — except this morning after a little more than 3-hours sleep. This morning I would choose Welcome to My Life by Simple Plan.
So what song would you choose to play as you walk on stage to perform?
You don’t have to be a speaker or even have a stage with a mic to have one. What song would you choose to blast as you walk on to your today’s performance of life?
