Back in my day… when we ran across a strand of Christmas lights that didn’t light — or when only a portion worked — we would sit on the floor with the strand in our lap and replace one bulb at a time on down the line to determine the “bad” one. If there was more than one bad bulb, the process could take hours.
Now, we simply throw them away!
Matter of fact, we threw away several strands today. If they had worked, there were enough to light the entire town of Seymour. We had more strands that didn’t light than we did ones that did. It’s a good thing that Perry rarely loses his cool.
More extension cords and lights incoming tomorrow to finish the outside decorating. We have to keep up with the Peskies and they’re way ahead right now.
