working with a sibling is not for the faint of heart

Jan 31, 2022

My brother and I have worked together for over 15 years now and we’re both still alive. That’s probably because we live 1900 miles apart.

Since he’s older than I am, I wasn’t in high school yet when he graduated. I do remember a few things when we were kids, but most memories are vague.

I remember him telling me not to shut the car door — and slamming it anyway catching his head. I remember him posing in front of a mirror with his trumpet after his lip was busted playing baseball… and I ‘accidentally’ bumped it. And, I remember him telling Dad to give him two “whippings”… he would take mine too.

In all those memories, he was the good child and I was impish.

I think it might still be like that…

Listening to the weather this morning, it seems that we’re about to get hit with snowmageddon or some sort of snowpocalypse. I have a full tank of gas and a grocery order coming later in the day. The Peskies requested eggs and bread — Ben and I have flamin’ hot cheetos and fruity pebbles on our lists. We have gas in the generator and are prepared for the worst.

We’ll probably get less than a 1/4 inch and this battery candle won’t need real ones around it that actually put out light.

Worse still, it’s supposed to be REALLY COLD after we get hammered by Snowzilla. When they say Indiana weather is crazy, it’s true. Our forecast is for 55° F on Tuesday, and 1° F on Friday. 😏

TIL (Today I Learned): The Bengals are going to the Super Bowl 2022. The last time Cincinnati played for a title was 1989.
