Snowmageddon: Day 2, morning (yawn)

Feb 4, 2022

We have snow. LIke… more than 12 flakes. Checked out FB after doggie detail this morning and I don’t know who does our city’s social media, but I love them.

Their morning post was a warning about driving, with a reminder about our RED travel advisory. Facts, but in a way that people can relate… and smile. It was topped off with the hashtags: #roadsaretrashed #snowmageddon #summayallaskedforthis #slowyoroll #letsbereal <—-That’s good stuff right there. 🙂

They prefaced the post with a few photos. Roads nearing the center of town appear to be in much better shape than I can see from my vantage point:

downtown Seymour in snow

State Police posted this morning that I65 from Seymour north is snow covered — south of Seymour toward Uniontown and Crothersville look pretty good. Police dude shared a shot from his dashcam of early morning travel on the Interstate:

there is snow out there

My g/f, Bonnye, was out and about early with her dogs — she has three and walks them every morning no matter what the conditions are. She took a photo of her house in the snow and it looks too wintery and pretty not to share:

Another friend, Julie, sent me a quick video of snow at her place in Scipio. She doesn’t understand LANDSCAPE recording on her iPhone, so a snap is the best I can do:

Currently, we have light snow with a temp of 18°F with near 0°F temps to look forward to later tonight. THAT I could do without. Jerilyn and family totally missed Snowmageddon 2022. They spent this past week at Disney.

The weather is here. Wish you were beautiful.
