I popped awake this morning at around 5:00 AM. It’s not that I went to bed early or that anything woke me up — my eyes just opened and I couldn’t go back to sleep. Now, I’m sitting in the sunroom listening to it POUR rain. There’s plenty of thunder to go with it… enough that the dogs think I’ve lost my mind.
The forecast today is for around 90 outside — and around 72 inside where I’ll be packing more boxes. Carl moved the first item from Seymour to Crothersville yesterday. My new bike arrived back home before me. Mr. Pesky was here anyway with an emergency tomato delivery.
The sneaky, hungry doggo.
I’d saved my best tomato for last. It was the big German kind… my favorite. I’d sliced off the end and put two pieces on a sandwich and saved the rest for dinner. In the meantime, Merida decided she wanted it and somehow managed to get it off the very back of the kitchen cabinet without disturbing the plate it was in or the knife beside it and ate it. She also left the end I’d cut off. It was devoured on the carpet under the table so that must be shampooed today.
The Twilight Zone. 💀
There’s not been an actual closing set for the new place so predicting a move-in date for my tiny family is impossible. The sellers purchased a home in June so it’s somewhat empty… other than a huge garage filled with tons of stuff (sort of like ours here only at least 5 times bigger).
Basically, we’re in limbo… the Twilight Zone. The place where you hurry up and pack so you’re ready… but must wait until all the pieces fall into place.
