I spent the ENTIRE DAY yesterday sitting in the sweltering heat in the sunroom with two dogs that had to pee. Royalty Roofing was here to finish the last of the inspection punch list and they started at 7:00 AM. By noon, the dogs needed to pee.
By 2:00 PM, they were panting and pacing.
They had 2 more hours to wait before they could get in the yard to do their business. With all the sweating, I figure if I’d have waited to weigh-in, I’d have lost another 10 pounds or so.
TIL (Today I Learned): On July 26, 1931, a swarm of grasshoppers descended on Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota devastating millions of acres of crops. It was so thick that it blocked out the sun and one could shovel the grasshoppers with a scoop. Cornstalks were eaten to the ground and fields left completely bare.
