I’ve decided to start with the smallest and worst room in this new home project. It’s the whatever room.
Lemme tell you about this room.
It was called a “bedroom” by the seller who also said it started as an office. There are no windows. One of the downsides of living in a barndo is the lack of windows in any room that doesn’t have an outer wall. This room does have a door, but it leads to the outside garage… the one that doesn’t have a concrete floor yet. It also has a small closet that’s currently being used as a “coat closet.”
This room will house my treadmill, tanning bed, and freezer — along with doubling as a utility room since it’s the only place where sweepers, steamers, brooms and such will fit downstairs. One top partial wall is dry erase board and the bottom walls are all chalkboard paint. (ARG!!)
The drywall walls at the top are full of holes and have damage from just ripping off command strips.
I’m starting with the whatever room because I need to get my freezer (currently in the Pesky’s garage) moved here. I want to paint before any more stuff goes in there.
It’s a near perfect fall day!
It’s gorgeous outside so at noon I’m still waiting on motivation to hit before going to war in there. I should just adopt Dharma’s “WHATEVER” attitude on the whatever room. 🙂
TIL (Today I Learned): Elvis Presley had a twin, Jesse Garon, who was stillborn.
