There’s a freeze watch in effect from tomorrow night through Tuesday morning. Get this… sub-freezing temperatures as low as 27°F are possible. That means soon I’ll be sharing photos of naked trees instead of this:

I remember harvest time from when I lived just down the road from where I am now. The 2022 version of the war against mice in the house and combating dust on everything inside and out is just around the corner. In 2013, instead of corn, beans were planted in the field next to me. Those were harvested on the 13th of October (reference post).
The Pesky neighbors have tons of permissions on the ground and I should be down there picking them up to make my favorite dessert. I’m going to pass this year — just as I did with planting mums — because I have too many other tasks to get behind me before winter.
At least I have help!
The downside of that is my “helper” only works on a full stomach. One filled with a huge breakfast that I have to cook every single morning he’s here. 🙂
