Yesterday was the 1st mowing adventure for 2023. Yard work is most difficult the first few times when you’re whipping it into shape. Perry took the rider — mainly because I’m not comfortable on the hill in back of the house.
I wielded the weedeater and was making great headway… until I wasn’t.
Something — a rock, a dirt clod, a piece of mulch, or a solid dog turd — flew up and hit me right square in the eye. It hurt but wasn’t so bad I thought urgent care was the answer. I took a photo with my trusty iPhone to see if I could see any debris left in there and it looked pretty good.
After little sleep last night and both eyes watering like crazy, I awoke to find it’s so very sensitive to light. I’m typing this on my laptop simply because if I use my computer with a large monitor my eye shuts on its own. And it looks much worse today.
The upside is I won’t see the tornado coming. We’re currently under a watch and it’s storming. But hey… at least the yard has been mowed. 🙂
