Yesterday is was almost 80 degrees here in the Ville and this morning it’s in the low 40’s. In the blink of an eye — albeit a bad one — the weather has done a complete turn-around.
I think Perry might’ve punched me!
This morning, my eye looks angry. It looks like I’ve been punched! If the upper lid swells and droops any more I won’t be able to hold it open at all. My vision is improving and it’s not as sensitive to light… but it still hurts when I bat and is somewhat uncomfortable.
Flooding here is real.
We’ve had quite a bit of rain and my road floods. It’s more than a bit frustrating since the County dug a ditch across the front of my property because they said the driveway move would cause flooding without it. (Read about it from 11/4/22.) While a ditch does help with drainage, it makes your yard more difficult and dangerous to maintain.
If I have to do the extra work to keep the road from flooding — everyone else should be subject to the same set of regulations. Right?
The county SHOULD dig a ditch in front of the property that adjoins that of those pesky neighbors too. Bring your equipment and lets get this party started Jackson County Highway boys. I’m watching for you with my good eye. 😉
TIL (Today I Learned): Microsoft tried a 4-day workweek in Japan as part of a “Work Life Choice Challenge” by shutting down offices every Friday. Productivity, measured by sales per employee, increased by almost 40% compared to the same period the previous year.
